Your premium membership or paid channel payment is canceled automatically at the beginning of the month if the payment for that month didn’t go through.
The following are examples of cases of automatic cancellation by each payment method.
A cancellation notice will be sent to your registered email address if your credit card is deemed unacceptable for any reason.

Your Apple Account may not have been able to debit your iTunes credit due to insufficient balance or your card being invalid.

Your Google account may not have been able to debit your Google Play or Google Play Gift Card due to an insufficient balance, registered credit card being invalid, or other reasons.

Your subscription was canceled because your PayPal payment method has been declined due to an issue with the funding source you’ve selected, such as insufficient balance or declined transaction.
If PayPal fails to make a payment at the beginning of the month, it will make another attempt five days later and repeat it two more times.
The account will be deemed invalid after a failed third attempt. Then all the subscriptions will be canceled automatically.

2nd attempt: On October 5th, then failed
3rd attempt: On October 10th, then failed
All the subscriptions will be canceled automatically at around the 11th of each month.
In this case, your premium and channel memberships will continue until October 11th, but you will only be charged for September.
